ABOUT NOAH SMITH
I am a filmmaker based in Denver, with a passion for storytelling that connects, inspires, and elevates the human experience. I graduated from CU Denver with a BFA in Film and Television in May 2018.
My full-time career began with Living Overseas TV and Liquid Luck Productions, where I honed my skills in both editing and producing. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I had with them, knowing that many of my fellow film school graduates in Denver and beyond have not been as fortunate. This awareness fuels my commitment to continuing education and creating more opportunities for internships and apprenticeships within our industry.
I believe in the power of empathetic storytelling to create meaningful change. My goal is to craft compelling, visually stunning narratives that celebrate the eclectic moments and people that shape our world. Like many in our creative community, I strive to take on more passion-driven projects while advocating for a thriving, sustainable industry where every storyteller has the resources and support to bring their vision to life.
Since 2021, I have served on the CFVA board, and for the past year, I’ve had the honor of being its Vice President. During this time, I’ve witnessed our community's resilience as we’ve navigated recovery from the challenges of COVID-19, bringing back beloved events that unite our members. I joined CFVA to foster connections among Colorado creatives, and in return, I’ve met so many inspiring individuals. My goal is to continue creating spaces where filmmakers, artists, and storytellers can flourish.
In 2023, I took on the role of Video Producer at the University of Denver, furthering my work in education and nonprofit-focused filmmaking. This experience has deepened my understanding of nonprofit operations and provided valuable insights that I bring to my work at CFVA.
At my core, I am dedicated to fostering connection, creativity, and community. My passion lies in building spaces that empower people to collaborate, tell their stories, and live more fulfilling lives. I hope to continue shaping CFVA into a hub for creative growth while expanding opportunities for storytelling beyond its reach.
